Juana de Arco: A peek into her world 「ホォアナ・デ・アルコ ファッションブランド / 北青山」

Juana de Arco may have changed its location but it sure keeps its whimsical spirit. The brainchild of Argentinean designer Mariana Cortes, this original textile and clothing brand was established in 1998 in Palermo Viejo (one of the coolest neighborhoods) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The new joyful store is in Kita-Aoyama and looks pretty much like a doll house. One step in and you will be greeted with colorful, vibrant and heart warming clothing. Mariana designs her own patterns and then prints them into one-of-a-kind fabric, making every product artistic and unique. From playful lingerie, to children clothing, yoga wear, accessories and an adorable home collection, you won’t leave Juana empty-handed. Organic cottons, woven textiles and printed fabrics, everything inspired in nature and art. Have a glimpse at the story behind “Todos Somos Juana” (トドス ソモス ホォアナ), here ちょ かわいい!!! ❤ I’d like to thank to Juana de Arco’s staff that kindly let me shoot inside their beautiful boutique. ありがとうございます. ❤ 3-8-11 Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Tel 5766 8520, Official Website: http://www.juanadearco.jp All photos on this blog …

Tokyo City Symphony

As a part of its anniversary program, Roppongi Hills has created a special website Tokyo City Symphony, which has been awarded a silver for Cyber Lions at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. An exquisite miniature of the city that was created originally by MoriBuilding is illuminated with 3D projection mapping with which users can play. Illustrating the theme of LOVE TOKYO, the animation proposes a chance to contemplate on what makes a city. Town Design Café Jingumae (タウンデザインカフェ)

Conveniently located close to Omotesando Hills, “Town Design Café” is a café as well as a rental space to hold workshops. Aoyama Flower Market Tea House 「フラワーマーケット ティーハウス/青山 」

Sitting inside the Aoyama Flower Market, you’ll find Aoyama Flower Market Tea House a fairy tale verdant tea shop. The second you step into this place, it will make you go awwww… The greenhouse-like interior is full of flowers and plants with transparent tables so you can enjoy the flowers beneath them. Their flower decorations are seasonal and changed once a week. It was “Peony Day” when I was there, so the flower scent was simply wonderful. (BTW… don’t you just love Peonies?) They only offer tea and a small selection of food so I had a pot of herbal tea and loved not only the refreshing taste but the whole presentation. Every small detail is looked after in this magical tea house. Everything is put together so perfectly well that you won’t want to leave! “If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden.” – Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden ♥ I’d like to thank to Aoyama Flower Market Tea House’s staff that kindly let me shoot …

Too Cool For School [トゥークールフォ―スクール アットコスメ]

While wandering around Harajuku, I came across Too Cool for School, a super cute cosmetic shop (the store is very close to the Denim & Supply Ralph Lauren store). Too Cool for School is a popular Korean cosmetic brand that landed in Tokyo.  The brand originated in November 2010 in the famous cosmetics shops Todacosa in Korea (like Sephora in US).  Crosspoint out of New York is responsible for the packaging design, but the illustrations are all Anke Weckmann.  The brand’s illustrator was born in Germany and currently lives in London.  For TCFS, she created four characters: Sienna, Emma, Joey and Max (Sienna’s cool cat).  ( The image below is via Google, featuring lip balms). The packaging is so cute that makes the brand appealing to teenagers without excluding adults (AKA Myself!) The products shown in the pic below are Makeup remover wipes ❤ Go ahead and check Anke Weckman’s incredible portfolio at: http://www.linotte.net/portfolioGeneral.html.
