Masaru Suzuki is a Japanese textile designer who besides designing for Finnish brand Marimekko, owns his super cool design brand “OTTAIPNU”. He’s currently holding an exhibition at Spiral, where he presents a colourful umbrella and parasols collection.
I had the unexpected opportunity to talk with Suzuki about how much he enjoys working with colors. Usually, umbrellas and parasols in Tokyo are either made of transparent vinyl or dull colors like black and beige, so he definitely brings something very exciting with his stunning designs.
With rainy season just around the corner, these gorgeous and vivid umbrellas will definitely cheer us up!
